FREEMEN OF THE TOWN OF SHREWSBURY IN THE WILLIAMS FAMILY

The first known freeman in the family was John Williams who was sworn in on 1st November 1806.

John's son Thomas Charles Williams was sworn in on the 29th July 1830.
Thomas's grandson John Charles Williams was sworn in on the 11th April 1931.
John's son Thomas Charles Williams was sworn in on the 29th March 1934 and another of John's sons,
Ernest John Williams, was sworn in on the 15th September 1952.
Ernest's son Stephen John Williams was sworn in on the 29th March 1973.
Thomas Charles's sons John Robert and Peter Charles Williams were sworn in on the 10th February 1966 and another of Thomas's sons, Philip Richard Williams was sworn in on the 22nd July 1983.
Thomas Charles's daughter Sheila Mary Cowton was sworn in on the 24th September 2010 along with her nephews
