NORAH DITCHBURN (1898 -1991) |
Norah was born at 4 Auborough Street, Scarborough, on the 17th January 1898,
the second child of Alfred and Annie Ditchburn. On the 7th May 1919, at St Mary’s Church in Scarborough, Norah married Alfred James WEAVER, a Merchant Seaman, (born 16th October 1893 at Melling in Lancashire) . They settled at Ebenezer Place in Scarborough. On the 25th February 1932 Alfred Weaver left Scarborough (for unknown reasons) and was never seen or heard from again by the family. |

NANCY WEAVER |
Married Albert Lyon. They had the following children:- Jean Lyon.

NELLIE WEAVER |
Married Charles Collins. They had the following children:- Linda Collins (married name Widd). Nellie died in 1971. |
Born June 4th 1926. Married to Walter Kenneth (Ken) Acklam. They had a daughter:- Patricia Noreen (Pat) Acklam, born 1952. Doris died on the 13th November 1989. |
ALAN WEAVER |
Married to Phyliss. They had the following children:- Norah Weaver. Alan died in 1970. |
MICHAEL WEAVER |
Married to Margaret. Second marriage to Christine. Michael has a daughter called Maureen and lives in Driffield. |
OLIVE POLLARD-WEAVER |
Olive had a different father to Nora's other children (Oscar Ivan Pollard). She was born in 1937 at Scarborough and she was known as Olive later married Alan DOWSON and emigrated about 1972 to Blacktown, New South Wales, Australia.Alan already had a son, Martin (now Olive's stepson).Olive and Alan have a daughter:- Ruth Heatley, she is married, lives in Tasmania and has a son William born 2009. |

Norah died in 1991 at Braeburn House, Eastfield, Scarborough.
