1) Family History Videos -

These videos were originally made by Roy Pledger

I have 're-mastered' them, by editing, cleaning up the soundtracks and adding some computer assisted graphics.

This covers the earliest known members of the family from Helmsley and the Vale of Pickering in the Ryedale area in the 16th century,
from Thomas Sonelay in 1550 to Paul Sunley
in 1816

2. The Sunley Dynasty Part Two

This covers the early life of Paul Sunley from his marriages to the Parkes' in the 1840's and the early history of the Stubbs family.

3. The Sunley Dynasty Part Three

This continues the Stubbs family story the marriage in the1860's of Paul Sunley and Eliza Stubbs and their family.
Also their daughter Sarah Sunley and her marriage to Harry Simpson and their family.

4. The Sunley Dynasty Part Four

This charts the family of Sarah and Harry Simpson
from their daughters Emily and Mariah Ethel and their families (Jones/Tyson).

(If you have any video that you would like to include here please contact me)

1. Irene's Parties

Yearly family gatherings held at Irene Ward's house at christmastime.
These parties were attended by most members of the family, usually in fancy dress, and provide an excellent record of how we were then ...

2) Christmas 1993 part 1
3) Christmas 1993 part 2
4) Christmas 1994 part 1
5) Christmas 1994 part 2

3) Dave's Music Videos - These are my YouTube music videos, made under the name of 'Chili Monster' :-

1. 'The Way To Mandalay'

An instrumental version of a song by Blackmore's Night.
I played Ukulele and Mandolin and an Austrian friend of mine (Valentin Obergruber) played Ukulele and Acoustic Guitar.
(For the technically minded, the 'Electric' Uke sound was got by recording the Uke acoustically through a Microphone as normal and then playing the track in Cubase through a Guitar Rig plug-in and then adding some delay and reverb before passing the whole thing through a compressor/limiter).
I recorded and mixed the track at Soundscape Studios in Shrewsbury which is run by my good friend Gair Davies.
We then used 2 cameras to video ourselves playing the instruments again to add to the live video footage and I remixed the video on Adobe Premiere.

2. 'I wanna be like you' (from the Jungle Book).

I played Uke, Mandolin, Bass, Flute, Drums and Percussion and sang all the vocals.
Again I recorded and mixed the track at Soundscape Studios in Shrewsbury.
I filmed the video in my garage using a HD webcam and a homemade greenscreen and again I mixed the video on Adobe Premiere.

3. 'Molly'

My own composition. I played Uke, Mandolin and keyboards. The Bass & Drums are samples.
Again I recorded and mixed the track at Soundscape Studios in Shrewsbury,
filmed the video in my garage using a cheap camcorder and a homemade bluescreen and mixed the video on Adobe Premiere.

4. 'Dead Dog Rover' (A Christmas Song)

Based on a song by Ivor Biggun. I played Uke, and keyboards and sang the vocals. The Bass & Drums are samples.

The lyrics to verse 1 are by Ivor Biggun. The lyrics to verses 2 and 3 are by me. The lyrics to verse 4 are adapted by me from the original by Ivor Biggun.
Again I recorded and mixed the track at Soundscape Studios in Shrewsbury.
The video was shot during Christmas week 2010 in my back garden using a cheap camcorder and mixed in Adobe Premiere.

5. 'Empty Words'

This is an instrumental version of a song by Blackmore's Night, called 'Empty Words'
I played Uke, and keyboards . The Bass & Drums are samples.
Again I recorded and mixed the track at Soundscape Studios in Shrewsbury.
The video was shot in the studio control room and mixed in Adobe Premiere.

6. 'Empty Words'

Another version of the above song , this time with Vocals.
Both versions were recorded January 2011
.

7. 'Ingelheim Rock'

A collaboration with an old friend of mine called Ken Evans (a.k.a. Ken Chilada).
Based upon our experiences when we went to play at the Beltane festival at Ingelheim in Germany in 1993.
Recorded at Soundscape Studios March 2011
.

8. 'Ghosts On Tape'

Another collaboration with Ken Evans (a.k.a. Ken Chilada).
Ken and I actually began writing this song in 1993 and never really finished it so we decided to resurrect it for YouTube. So this song has been nearly 18 years in the making... The sentiment remains the same, though sadly a lot more singers/songwriters/rock stars etc have joined the list. No list could ever be complete so these are the names that either particularly mean something to myself or Ken or just had to be on the list...
Recorded at Soundscape Studios April 2011
.

In August 2011 this song was included on a compilation CD called ShropRock -
a CD featuring songs from unsigned artists and bands from all over Shropshire

In January/February 2012 I entered the song in an online song competition where it won first place in the 'Blues' category
and then went on to get 4th place in the overall competition
.

9. 'The Path'

Yet another collaboration with Ken Evans (a.k.a. Ken Chilada).
music by Ken, lyrics by Dave. Lead Vocals are by Sheila's eldest son, Peter.
Backing vocals by Sheila and her other son Adam and his girlfriend Hattie.
Recorded at Soundscape Studios May 2011
.

10. Monster Mash

A cover version of 'The Monster Mash' which I recorded for Halloween 2011
Recorded at Soundscape Studios October 2011
.

11. 'The way To Mandalay' vocal version

Another version of my first video, 'The way To Mandalay' re-recorded and remixed with added vocals sung by me.
Recorded at Soundscape Studios November 2011
.

The twelfth is my own composition and is a vocal version of 'Molly' called 'Time On My Side' and features a new video.
I played Uke, Mandolin and keyboards. The Bass & Drums are samples.
I remixed the track and added vocals in February 2012 at Soundscape Studios in Shrewsbury,
filmed the video in my garage using a HD webcam and a homemade greenscreen and mixed the video on Adobe Premiere.
