Samuel William Sides was born in 1844,
the second child of Thomas and Harriet Sides.

On the 16th November 1871, at St Mary’s Church, Salop, Samuel William married Fanny Carless (born 1836 – the daughter of Richard Carless who was a tailor living in St Mary’s Place, Shrewsbury). Samuel and Fanny settled near Cound, Salop at a house called ‘Cound Stanks’
where Samuel ran his own shoemaking business.


Samuel and Fanny had two children:-
Constance Harriet  

Born 1872.
She married Henry Jones, (pictured right),
on the 26th December 1895.
Henry died in 1928
and Constance died at Southport on the 14th April 1945
.
They had no children.

Thomas Richard William  
Born 1879.
 
Henry Fanny Constance Thomas & Samuel
Fanny Blackpool 1913
Samuel William died 12th May 1901 at Cound Stanks and Fanny died 17th August 1916.
