DOROTHY ROSE COWTON (1938 - 2008)

Rosie was born on the 19th July 1938 at Ayton,
the twelfth child of William and Dorothy Cowton.

Rosie married WILLIAM JENNINGS,
(born on the 5th September 1923).

Rosie and William had the following children:-

JOHN ADRIAN JENNINGS

born 1957 at Scarborough.
He had two daughters:-

MICHELLE JENNINGS

born on the 26th May 1984.
Died on 3rd June 1984.

LISA MARIE JENNINGS

born 1986.

John was married at Scarborough in 2002 to
Shirley Bruce, (born Leicester 1955).

KEVIN WILLIAM JENNINGS

born on the 11th October 1959.
Died on the 1st May 1982 in a road accident.

Bill with John aged approx 7 weeks

Sadly William died on the 21st June 1963.
Rosie had one more child, the father being Philip Harrison (Philip died in 2008):-

MICHAEL FRANCIS JENNINGS

born 1972 at Scarborough.
Michael was married at Gretna Green
in 1997 to Tracey Boggan,
(born 28th March 1975 at Richmond, Yorks).
They had two children:-

BETHANY JANE JENNINGS born 2003 at Scarborough.

JAMES MICHAEL JENNINGS born 2004

Michael and Tracey are now divorced.

Rosie died at Dunollie Nursing Home, Scarborough, on the 13th April 2008. One year to the day that she died John and his family took her ashes to Glentrool nr Newton Stewart, Dumfries and Galloway, which was one of her favourite places, and scattered them at Bruce's stone overlooking Loch Trool.
