THOMAS SIMPSON

	THOMAS SIMPSON (1900 – 1986)

			TOM was born on the 2nd February 1900 at Killerby Cottage, Cayton, the 11th child of Harry and Sarah Simpson.

He was the last to live at home, eventually remaining in the family council house at Lebberston after his mother died. Tom worked in farm service at first and then worked as a roadman for the Rural District Council; finally he ended up working at the NALGO Holiday Camp at Osgodby.

Around 1932 Tom married EDNA MASON who was born on the 1st May 1902 at Scarborough, Tom gained a stepdaughter JEAN from this marriage.

Tom & Edna lived in the council house until Tom was on his own and he eventually moved into a sheltered bungalow at Beck Hole, Cayton. Just before his death he moved to Silver Birches Home at Filey.

Edna was 65 when she died on the 20th October 1967. Tom died on the 4th December 1986 aged 86. They are both buried at St Oswald’s churchyard at Filey.

ELIZABETH ANN (Betty)

	Born on the 21st September 1933 at Lebberston. She was married on 24th October 1953 at St Oswald’s Church, Filey to JAMES BARKER born on the 31st December 1925 at Morecambe, died at Scarborough Hospital on the 18th June 2002.

They settled at Muston and they had two children:-

ELIZABETH DIANE BARKER,
born on the 7th June 1955 at Bridlington.
Married at Muston Church
to CARL SIDNEY MAINPRIZE
(born on the 23rd September 1949).
They had two children:-

NATALIE ZOE MAINPRIZEborn on the 10th November 1974 at Bridlington.
She lived with Owen Charles McCann, b.21.6.1969, whom she did not marry,
and they had four children:-

	Jade Louise Elizabeth, b.11.6.1993.

	Nathan James Owen, b.10.8.1994. (He later changed Owen to Christopher)

	Lauren Paige Zoe, b.19.2.1996.

	Kyle Anthony Charles, b.21.6.1998. (He later changed Charles to Scott)

	All four were born at Scarborough and all subsequently changed their surname by deed poll from McCann to Orange, as well as the above mentioned christian name changes. Natalie subsequently parted from McCann and on 10.3.2001 at Scarborough Register Office, she was married to SCOTT ORANGE, born 26th June 1972 at Wakefield. They live at Filey and have two children:-

	Jordan Tyrone Alan Orange, b.3.7.2001 at Scarborough.

	Jamie Leigh Skye Orange, b.6.3.2003 at Scarborough.

	DEMIS TYRONE MAINPRIZE born on the 12th February 1977 at Bridlington. On 18th August 2001 he married Karen Estelle (Howarth), born 11th January 1973 at Dewsbury. (Karen already had a son, Stuart Mark (Steele), b.8.10.1991, who changed his name by deed poll to Mainprize). They have a daughter Courtney Marie Frances Mainprize, who was born at Scarborough 31.12.1997.

	Elizabeth & Carl Mainprize eventually divorced.

	On 21st February 1991, at Scarborough Register Office, Elizabeth married ALAN ATKIN (born 21st May 1947 at Castleford). They were subsequently divorced. Elizabeth now lives in Filey.

	CHRISTOPHER JAMES BARKER, born on the14th March 1957 at Bridlington. He was married on 2nd July 1991 in Bangkok to Wanna (Kriengkaew), (born 13th May1967 at Songla, Thailand). They had twin boys :- Mikey and Jonathan, who were born at Scarborough 26.8.1992. Chris and Wanna were subsequently divorced and Wanna, now lives back in Thailand, has custody of the two boys.
