SEP was born
on the 10th January 1897
at Gristhorpe,
the 8th child of
Harry and Sarah Simpson.

He worked as a farm labourer and later on became a builder’s labourer. He settled in Bridlington, living at 67 St John’s Walk. He never married but he did live with a woman called Florence Renshaw. He died at the early age of 57 on the 27th December 1954 and is buried in Bridlington Cemetery, (Grave No= CA 182).
