17^th. Thrashing, nice day. Wheat very poor, oats fair. Mr Good is leaving Greenland for Grindale his place is taken by Mr Clarkson.

LSA  practice. A new line thrower was tried to day but was not a success.
Weather unsettled & mild. Labour plentiful.
March 8^th. Mr Moon blacksmith died to day, he was seventy nine years old.
12^th. Wintry weather. Several inches of snow.
April 15^th. Very cold.     
30^th . Finished sowing corn.
June 4^th. Sowing Swedes.
Sept 13^th. Finished cutting corn. Weather fine all harvest.
Sept 25^th. Finished leading sheaves.     
31^st. Stack fire in Mr Colemans yard.
July 20^th. 1929.Weather very hot & dry. Water very scarce.
