18^th. Finished leading sheaves.
19^th. L.S.A. called out at 1 a.m. Ship reported ashore under Bempton cliff. Found after some trouble. Very dark night, heavy showers of rain.
Steam trawler ‘Joule’. Refloated about 5 a.m. and reached Hull safely.
L.S.A. reached home at 7.45. 15/3 for the job.
24^th & 25^th. Sowing wheat. Weather fair land in nice trim.
30^th. Result of election. Conservative elected. 3004 Majority.
Nov 3^rd. Sucking pigs are said to have been sold at Seamer market for 1/- each to day.
10^th. Thrashing, nice day. Oats good yield. Barley medium.
Wages 7/6 per day.
Nov 1^st. Mrs Judd left the village for Bridlington to-day.
24^th. Mr Burgess left to day for Cottam Warren. Mr Ford has come back to Speeton from Octon to be Mr Watson’s hind. Mr Tom Artley has left Mr Watson’s for a house in the village. Alf  Jackson leaves Walker Watsons for Hunmanby Moor his place being taken by Mr Temple of Hunmanby.
Dec 4^th. Heavy rain at night, high wind from South.
8^th. Farm labourers wages have been fixed by the wages board at 35/- a rise of 5/- per week.
