Mary Ann Sunley 1870 - 1954

On the 8th December 1870 MARY ANN SUNLEY was born at Lebberston,
the second child of Paul Sunley and Eliza Stubbs
She was married at St Oswald’s Church Filey on the 24th November 1894.

Her husband was THOMAS CARR CRAVEN, born in 1867 at Brompton-By-Sawdon, son of James and Jane (nee Tiplady) Craven.
Thomas worked as a farm labourer and they lived at Gristhorpe. 
Thomas died in 1899 at the early age of 32, after being kicked by a horse whilst working as an Ostler.
He was buried at St. Oswald's, Filey on 2nd April 1899.
Mary Ann died in 1954 at the age of 84 yrs and is buried in Skelton churchyard, York.
Mary and Thomas had one son : -

William Carr Craven:-
William Carr Craven

Born on the 20th August 1895 at Gristhorpe. After service in the First World War, Billy settled in York, where he and his wife MAUD ALICE (Marie) BREEN, (born 6th June 1899 at Co. Clare Ireland), were both nurses at the Clifton Hospital.

Mary Ann also lived with them at 9 Sefton Avenue York.

William died on 30th July 1969.

Maud died on 13th June 1985.

They are both buried in Fulford Cemetery.

William and Maud had two children: -
LILLIAN MARY
born on the 19th December 1921 at York.
DENIS THOMAS
born on the 2nd October 1925 at York
Denis married JEAN LONA RIDSDALE (born 30th July 1930, died 21st April 1979),they  had a daughter :-
MICHELLE JEAN DENISE, born 2nd March 1968 at York.
She married PAUL FROUD (born 2nd June 1964)
